Today, I’m thrilled to welcome Bethany of Sweet Georgia Sweet and her Floral Christmas Wonderland Party to the blog. Here in Georgia, we’re looking at 68 degrees on Christmas Day, so an outdoor dinner party isn’t at all out of the question. Wouldn’t it be relaxing to have an adults-only evening in the middle of the Christmas madness?

Here are the party details I most love:

  • The setting: who knew a stack of logs could be enchanting?
  • The texture and gem centers on the paper flowers is stunning.
  • The simplicity of the dessert table arrangement contrasted with the intricacy of the desserts.
  • The combination of purples and gold. Sigh.

I’ll let Bethany tell the story:

“With the Christmas holidays in full swing, I wanted to welcome a few of our closest friends and family over for an intimate and memorable holiday dinner party. Inspired by warm colored florals, I transformed a natural wooden backdrop into a Floral Christmas Wonderland with lots of warm, rich, deep hues of purple and bordeaux.”

“Set against a woodland backdrop at sunset, our dinner party setting couldn’t have been more perfect. The Christmas lights strung in the tree tops and the candle lit dinner created such a warm and wonderful holiday feeling.”

Floral Christmas Wonderland Party Desserts

“For desserts, I wanted to offer both beautiful and delicious after dinner treats; the berry brownie overloads were my absolute favorite – the gold shimmer on those was simply stunning!”

“”One of my favorite things was providing guests with blankets and hot cocoa for plenty of after dinner mingling. The mini snow globe place card holders were another favorite holiday element. We had such a wonderful time ushering in the holiday season; it was a memorable evening full of laughter and joy with our closest friends.”

Jennifer again:

Bethany and I have been internet friends for a long time, and darn it! — since we’re both in Georgia, we really ought to meet in person! Bethany makes darling banners, wreaths and party centerpieces. I’ve used one of her wreaths in my Bright & Colorful Children’s Thanksgiving Table and I’ve featured her son’s superhero party here on the blog. I just love this latest party from Bethany and can’t wait to see what she dreams up next!
