My inbox got a little happier on Monday when I found this train birthday party submission from Sarah of Brown Paper Goods. You may remember Sarah’s designs for our Letters to Santa Party. I love Sarah’s modern style; it’s what makes her work so special. (Plus, she’s a doll to work with!) Sarah designed printables for this darling train party.
I’ll let Sarah tell the story
“This train party was a family party for my nephew, Henry’s, third birthday. My sister-in-law asked me to design his invitation so he could send them to his cousins. We have a large family, and with 13 cousins, there’s always a party when we get together.”
“Henry loves trains! So, it was natural that he have a train party this year. He also has a huge American flag hanging in his room, so I decided to use the flag colors as my palette for this party. Once I created the train, it all just fell into place…. Cupcake toppers, food labels, banner (which I forgot to get a picture of), water bottle labels, cupcake wrappers and thank you circles.”
“It really was a family affair! My mother-in-law made her famous white cheddar popcorn and my sister bought some vanilla marshmallows and the kids ate lots of pizza. We had cupcakes, and used the toppers to dress them up.”
“For the party favors, my sister-in-law gave each of the younger kids a Thomas train. The older cousins all got train whistles and hats. It was a fun family event with lots of loud child laughter and fun!”
It sounds like such a great event and I’m so thrilled to be able share Sarah’s photos with you. (How cute is Henry?!) To see more of her work visit her shop or like her on Facebook.
