I love a creative backdrop and that’s what hooked me on this pink giraffe baby shower from Rene of My Good Greetings. Rene creates custom photo cards, invitations, birth announcements and thank you cards on 100% recycled, FSC Certified matte card stock. She clearly also has terrific party styling skills.
Rene took a soft pink polka dot fabric and tented it to create the backdrop. The pennants she made from scrapbook paper and then added soft pink pom-poms and a yellow tissue fan to tie everything together. (She made her own poms!)
Her pink giraffe baby shower invitation was the inspiration for this dessert table. The soft pinks, white and a touch of golden yellow are perfect for welcoming a baby girl!
Rene says, “The dessert buffet featured sweet treats including white and pink Jelly Bellies, salt water taffy, strawberry whoppers, delicious vanilla cupcakes, pink rock candy, pink popcorn, pink lemonade with sugared mason jars and the cutest baby giraffe cookies complete with pink spots.”
“For budget conscious reasons, the beautiful glass apothacary jars and glass cupcake stand were assembled with glass items found at the local Good Will store and glued together with clear adhesive. It was so fun to hunt for the right stacking glass pieces and the cost of each glass jar was about $3.00!”
“The little pendants were added to the glass cupcake stand with double-sided tape for easy removal. We designed the popcorn boxes, cupcake wrappers, cotton candy cones and labels to match the party theme.”
I love the tin tub holding the cotton candy cones (below) and the mason jar drink glasses (above).
Darling giraffe cookies!
That’s pink sugar around the mason jar tops.
The giraffe cupcake wrappers crack me up. I love the little pennants and the idea that Rene assembled the tiered cupcake stand from Goodwill finds makes me totally jealous of her Goodwill.
