This brother/sister birthday bash comes to you from Keisha of Cupcake Wishes & Birthday Dreams. Keisha created this party for her children, whose birthdays are close together. I think “rock star” is an amazing theme for a boy/girl party and Keisha made this party so fun! And of course, I love that this was an at-home party with super-fun activities for the kids!
So to start, how cute are Keisha’s children?!
Keisha began with a color scheme of red, electric blue, hot pink, grey and black. She designed all the printables and created the rest using her Cricut. (Love the collection? You can find it in her Etsy shop.)
VIP passes – love this detail! (These are part of Keisha’s collection.)
Keisha says, “We had a photo booth set up with dress up rocker gear: feather boas, inflatable instruments, and gloves.” They even had a Rock Star video set up for anyone wanting a real Rock Star experience.
The kids got to bling out their own rock star headbands with rhinestones, glitter and feathers.
Keisha served a lunch of pizza, chicken strips and apple sauce. “Nothing fancy, cause I’ve learned my lesson – they always want pizza!” says Keisha. She also created a sweets station with two cakes — one for her daughter and one for her son. Keisha made both of the cakes and cupcakes. (So for those of you keeping score at home, that’s all the printables, all the handcrafted paper elements, and all the major sweets – whew!)
Candy was displayed in different containers and paper sacks were set out for guests to load up on goodies.
Keisha created the Happy Birthday banner, party dots, cupcake toppers, favor tags, paper rock star glasses, favor boxes and door sign frame using her Cricut. All the coordinating patterned paper, VIP back stage passes, table signs and inserts for the invitation were all her designs. Don’t you love her party hats?
As guests left, they received a goody bag filled with rock star bracelets, tattoos, bubbles, paper rock star glasses, guitar crayons by Red Elm Designs and candy.
