** Be sure to check out yesterday’s tutorial on how to create the Halloween canvas and scrapbook paper bunting. **
Yesterday evening, Meg and I created this mummy version of the Halloween canvas. Since the canvas is so large (36″ x 36″) it really was helpful to have a second pair of hands. Here’s how to make a Halloween canvas mummy. It’s great for your mantle or as a party backdrop.
Halloween CAnvas Mummy Supplies
- Halloween canvas
- White scrapbooking paper 12″ x 12″
- Black scrapbooking paper
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Clear packing tape
- Glue dots
- 1-2 rolls white crepe paper
- Optional: egg-shaped punch
Halloween Canvas Mummy Instructions
1 – Fold your white scrapbooking paper in half.
2 – Cut out two identical ovals.
3 – I have an egg shaped punch, so I used that to create pupils, but you could hand-cut those, as well.
4 – Attach the pupils to the whites of the eyes with double-sided tape.
5 – Attach the finished eyes to the canvas with glue dots.
6 – Tape the crepe paper to the back of the canvas using the packing tape. Wrap the crepe paper around the canvas. overlapping some of the layers. I used one roll of crepe paper, but you might want to add a second roll. To finish the mummy wrapping, I just tucked the end of the crepe paper under one of the wraps.
Love it…very cute and simple to make!
So cute!
