Party folk, there is a new social networking site just for us! BirthdayPlanet.net is a free community dedicated to birthdays. You can meet people from all across the globe who share your birthday.
I received compensation for this review, but all opinions are my own. I only introduce companies and products to you that I believe in.
BirthdayPlanet.net is free and non-commercial. They want to discover the most popular birthday in the world. You can look at birthdays by date.
You also can view birthdays by the people who share your day.
But the part I think you’ll really like are the parties shared by members. You can sort any number of ways — including by budget, which is totally cool. Or, search by category, including adult birthday, teen birthday, kid birthday, baby shower or celebrities. (There is nothing under the celebrity category yet but maybe someday JLo will post her twins’ birthday!) If you like a party, vote for it and give it a cake.
So here’s an example. I filtered by 5-10 guests, an at home party, active style, with a budget of $500+. One of the parties I came up with was a ladybug 13th birthday party submitted by Oliwia Duda.
The photos are collaged, but you can click on any photo to see it larger. Here are a few images from a Harry Potter party by Linda Twombly. These guys look like they had a terrific time!
You can subdivide your search by age, boy/girl, or party games. I wish you could type in a theme and see every party created in that theme, but maybe that functionality will be added down the road.
Here’s a Cinderella tea party by Sarah Lemoine with really cute elements, but it leads me to one more suggestion I’d make to BirthdayPlanet: I really want to know the vendors used in this party. I wish the “submit a party” form prompted party hosts to enter the names and shop URLs of all the vendors used. Don’t you want to know who should get the credit for this adorable fondant work? And these cookies? Maybe in the next update. 🙂
All-in-all, I like this site. Love that you can submit a party without needing professional photography, and love the world-wide scope. If you join, I’d love to hear about your experience and what your favorite part of the site is.

I am planning a 50th birthday party for my best friend. She would like a Hawaiian aloha theme but classy. Please send ideas thanks
