In December, I Marie Kondo’d my uterus. It did not bring me joy. Sooo, that’s where I’ve been for 6 weeks: hysterectomy town. My doctor did not order me to stay off social media and my blog, but I knew I needed a full break.

I’ve had about 4 years now of daily pain. Sometimes, extreme pain. Pain that made doctors send me to the ER multiple times, thinking my appendix was about to exit my body in a dramatic fashion. Pain that I tried to resolve in all sorts of ways before resorting to surgery.

But nope, it was “just” endometriosis and adhesions that had been Lewis & Clark’ing around my abdomen. Surprise: when your bladder is twisted upside down by scar tissue, it hurts.

Before the surgery, I did have a whole exit strategy with guest bloggers and an advance warning of my shop closing. I am really sorry I couldn’t make that happen, but I had to cry uncle and give up those plans. I just couldn’t hack the extra work when I felt so lousy.

But enough about me. Let’s talk about you.

Today, I am 6 weeks post-surgery. I can’t say I’m 100%, but I am so much better, and really excited to be back at work. I have literally watched EVERYTHING on Netflix, and now I’m refreshed and full of party ideas and plans for the new year – for you!

But you tell me: what do you want to see on the blog in 2019? What party trick do you want to learn? What stumbling block do you hit when you’re planning your parties? I’d love to help!

For now, I’m planning:

  • More mini party plans
  • Free party printables on Fridays
  • More guest parties
  • Parties of my own
  • Tutorials focused on party essentials
  • Maybe a few party recipes???
  • And I’m hearing you say you want some more adult parties, so we’ll see what we can do there.

Here’s how I may be able to help right now.

For loads of free party inspiration, check out the Party Favors tab in the upper menu of this site. I’ve divvy’d up the parties by category to make it easy to find what you need:

  • Mini party plans
  • My parties (subdivided into parties for girls, boys, holidays and adults)
  • Party ideas (these are guest parties that I’ve featured on the blog)
  • And then I have tips for budget birthdays, twin birthdays and general party tips

If you need help planning a party, check out The Party Classroom. That’s where I can help you one-on-one. Currently, I’m helping Lexie plan her daughter’s Sweet 16. Members also get:

  • Exclusive content
  • My Birthday Parties 101 book free
  • Loads of free worksheets
  • Access to all their other member questions I’ve answered and
  • Access to parties I’ve helped other members plan

If you want to improve your party planning skills, try The Party Course. The course is online, so you can take it at your own pace. If you follow the steps I give you in the course, you can plan your next party in just minutes a day.

Any questions about The Party Classroom or The Party Course, just comment below. And if you have other ideas about blog content you’d like to see, PLEASE let me know that, also!

I hope your New Year is off to a great start and I’m excited to jump into 2019 with you!
