I’ll probably never be a cookie decorator with a piping bag full of royal icing, BUT, I can swipe on frosting and add googly eyes! And you can too and so can your kids! Here’s how to make turkey cookies for Thanksgiving, even if you’re like me and have no decorating skills.

Turkey Cookies Supplies
- Milano cookies
- White cake frosting
- Red and yellow food coloring
- Candy eyes
- Candy corn
- Three popsicle sticks.

Turkey Cookie Instructions
1 – Divide the white frosting in three small bowls. Color one with red food coloring, another with yellow food coloring and a third with red and yellow food coloring to make orange frosting.

2 – With a popsicle stick, dab a pea sized amount of one frosting color on the left top of the cookie. Drag the frosting down to create a feather.

3 – Repeat with the other two frosting colors.

4 – Add a second row of frosting feathers. I switched up the order of the colors.

5 – On the right center of the cookie, swipe on a turkey waddle with the red frosting — it’s just a curve.

6 – Add a candy corn beak. The candy corn will overlap the bottom frosting feathers and waddle to stick to the cookie.

7 – Add candy eyes above the beak.

I found candy corn on clearance at the drug store. Small candy eyes can be purchased on Amazon or probably in the baking aisle of your grocery store or WalMart.
