Are you as in love with the pink Halloween trend as I am? I think a pink Halloween party would be perfect for an October birthday or pre-trick or treating. What better way to get your kids to eat a little dinner before the big night than by making it sweetly spooky?

Look for:
- A palette of bright pink, light pink, orange, melon and black
- Sweet ghosts, bats and pink bows
- Pink, orange and black ribbon accents
- A new (and easier!) style of assembling a balloon garland

Pink Halloween Tablescape
For this tablescape, you need to decide how to layer your party color palette so that each layer has its own moment. (P.S. I’ve got a lesson all about party tablescapes inside The Party Course.)

I started with a pink ghost runner from My Mind’s Eye. From there, I added:
- Orange placemats
- Black melamine plates (also used in my Selfie Scavenger Hunt Party and Skeleton Tablescape)
- Paper ghost plates from My Mind’s Eye
- Orange fabric napkins tied with 3-inch pink bows
- Wood cutlery that I embellished with black, orange and pink rhinestones (see the tutorial here)
- Disco cups for water (also used in my Boho Picnic Sweet 16 Party and my Disco Party). I accented the disco cups with ghost swizzle sticks, orange straws, and pink ribbon.

We also offered Boylan orange soda because soda is a special treat in our house.
Each place setting included a party favor: pink pumpkin lollipops by Sweetniks (find her on Etsy) in a marshmallow flavor. The tags are from Paper & Ink on Etsy.

Pink Halloween Chair Buntings
I loooove this detail: I made ribbon buntings for each of chairs. Such a fun way to dress up your everyday chairs for any party. I’ve added this product to the shop. If you don’t see the colors you need, no worries: just choose the Custom Chair Bunting option.

Pink Halloween Centerpiece
I found this ghost bucket on WalMart. It’s about 8 inches x 8 inches so I knew it would work perfectly as a vase. I built the centerpiece (see the tutorial here) with pink and orange grocery store flowers, plus sticks from my backyard. I love the sweet and spooky feel it gives!

TIP: place your centerpiece on a tray to ground it. This silver platter is a wonderful hand-me down from my sister-in-law.
Around the flowers, I added my silver candlesticks with black tapers.

Pink Halloween Treats
Of course I went all out for our pink Halloween dessert table!
- Pink and orange striped cake with candy corn. (This is the Publix Falloween cake with a custom color change — just $39 and ready within 24 hours!)
- Cute ghost cookies and pastel candy corn cookies from Powder Cream Cookies on Etsy. They were delicious and soft!
- Bright pink cake truffles from Sugarpop Bakes on Etsy. So yummy and perfect. I recommend her treats in my party plans all the time.
- Light pink chocolate covered Oreos with orange and black sprinkles — also from Sugarpop Bakes and also soooo good.

To the desserts I purchased, I added two “homemade” Halloween treats.
- Ghost brownie bites! Find the tutorial here.
- Ghost Peeps with added pink chocolate bows. If you’ve never made molded chocolate before, it couldn’t be easier. You just melt candy melts according to package instructions, pour into a silicone mold, smooth with a spatula and chill in the fridge for about 10 minutes. Then pop out the shape. I added the bows to the Peeps with a dot of white frosting.

Pink Halloween Dessert Table Decor
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: something always goes wrong at a party and… it’s also NOT A BIG DEAL.
My intention was to add two pink arch backdrops behind my sideboard and drape those with a ghost banner, ribbon bunting, and a Bashify balloon garland. But I couldn’t fit the arch “feet” behind the sideboard, so I had to scrap that plan.
Instead, I tied my Pink Halloween Ribbon Bunting to the front of my sideboard. (Buy your own ribbon bunting from my shop.) I added the remaining ghost table runner to the front of the sideboard.

For serving pieces, I used a variety of black cake stands. Each treat had its own menu card in a black harp clip. In between the treats, I added little ceramic ghosts and one of the pink pumpkins I decorated. (Here’s the pumpkin tutorial.)

Pink Halloween Party Activities
I got to bring back out the Little Pink Bar Cart — my fav! (See it here at Christmas and here at Valentine’s Day.) Best antique store purchase ever.
I used the bar cart to hold our craft activity: painting little wood ghosts. More faux pumpkins and bats decorated the extra cart shelves. (Bats were originally from my Halloween Candy Table.) I hung the dollar store ghost banner across the front of the cart. (See tutorial here.)

Balloon Garland!
Behind the bar cart I hung our wonderful Bashify balloon garland. I chose a custom garland with these colors: macaron pink, orange, black, cheeky and ghost. (Disclaimer: I took the balloon garland images, so they’re not as pretty as the Barefeet Imagery photos.)

I was nervous about assembling it but it couldn’t have been easier. The garland technique uses strong filament line instead of a plastic garland strip with holes. I thought the line might be challenging to work with, but it was strong and didn’t tangle. The technique produced a much fuller garland and it was easier to put the colors and patterns just where I wanted them.

The balloon garland kit comes with sooo many balloons — enough for 10 feet of garland. I only used half the balloons and am saving the rest for another party.
The balloons also lasted for days, so you could totally make the garland in advance of your party and just have that task out of the way. (Except that your husband much start asking, “When do the balloons come down?” like mine did. Whoops!)
