The printables shown in this tutorial are from my Valentine’s Day Party Printables collection, but these techniques work for any printable party decorations. Your first step is deciding whether to print at home or have them printed at a shop like The UPS Store. Either way, make sure you choose cardstock — you want your printables to have weight and firmness so they hold up throughout your party.

3. Position each circle inside your hole punch and punch out.
4. Apply about 1 inch of glue to a lollipop stick.

How to Trim Printable Food Signs

1. Using your paper trimmer, cut away the outside border of the printable page.
2. Cut out the remaining sides of each food sign.

Bonus idea: These flags also look adorable on rock candy sticks! Just use glue to attach them (no glue dot needed).

2. Cut out the remaining sides of each tag.

4. Starting with the last triangle in the banner, insert ribbon through the right-hand hole from front to back.
5. Bring the ribbon from the back to the front through the left-hand hole.
6. Continue stringing the other triangles, leaving your desired amount of space between each one.
7. Leave 18 to 24 inches of ribbon at either end for hanging the banner.
8. Trim the ribbon ends and seal the edges with a lighter to prevent fraying (optional but recommended).

1. Working with about three sheets at a time, cut out the top and two sides of each banner letter.
2. Use scissors to carefully cut out the notch from the bottom of each letter.

4. Thread the letters on grosgrain ribbon (like the pennant banner) or tie the letters loosely together with 6-inch lengths of double-faced satin ribbon.
5. If using short satin ribbon strips, hold the two ends of the ribbon together, fold over, and cut a notch in the two ends.
6. Add more ribbon at either end for hanging; you can hang the banner with glue dots or safety pins or Command Strip hooks.

Work in batches: If you’re making multiple cupcake toppers or favor tags, complete each step for all pieces before moving to the next step. Assembly-line style is always more efficient!
