Here in Georgia, back to school time is almost here. We’ve ordered backpacks, bought our unbelievably long list of school supplies (are 48 pencils really necessary? that’s more than one per week of school…), and Grandma has taken the girls shopping for their traditional first day of school outfits. So I decided to experiment with a special first day of school breakfast: back to school sprinkles waffles!
We have a waffle maker, but if you don’t, just try these as pancakes. Same basic principle, and super easy. Ready for the recipe? Make your waffle mix. Add about a tablespoon of sprinkles. Cook your waffles. Seriously could not be easier!
And since it’s the first day of school, how about of dollop of whipped cream and a few more sprinkles?
What are your first day of school traditions? We’ll for sure be taking photos on the front porch. Be sure to check back on Friday for my roundup of free back to school sign printables!
