If you saw my post from Tuesday about inspiring tailgating parties, you know I live in a fantasy world where I have 48-hour days and have time to create my own tailgating party. (Ha!) So I dreamed up this little tailgating decor item for my imaginary party and wanted to share it with you. It couldn’t be easier and you could create it in your own college (or NFL) team colors. We’re a Georgia bulldog house, so my version is red and black.
Supplies
- Frame
- 2″ wide grosgrain ribbon
- Collegiate style letters (mine are by Thickers)
- Aleene’s Thick Tacky Glue
- Scissors
- Scrapbooking paper
Instructions
1 – Cut your scrapbooking paper to fit your frame. (Use the photo that comes in the frame as a guide.)
2 – Cut your ribbon to fit the paper, leaving space at the bottom for some paper to show through at the end of the ribbon. Notch your ribbon.
3 – Adhere the top edge of the ribbon to your paper with the glue.
4 – Add your collegiate letters, starting with the center letter.
5 – Slide everything back into your frame and you’re done.
This takes no more than 5 minutes to complete, but I think it could add a little punch to your next football party.
Great party decoration for the next tailgate! Easy and not fragile to transport! Love it!
