I think I can safely say that most 10-year-old girls like (1) candy and (2) glamour. So how fun would a Dylan’s Candy Bar / spa party be? Courtney of Glamour Avenue Parties created this party and I’m so excited that she’s sharing it with us today!
Courtney’s client asked for the Dylan’s Candy Bar / spa party theme with the request that the party be colorful, and the rest was up to Courtney. (That’s a fun client!)
Dining and Facial Table
Courtney says, “To keep the look fun and not too busy I used fresh, white tablecloths and chairs and vibrant chevron placemats to showcase the color. The place settings included the supplies for the girls’ facials, plus sweets, and plastic beverage containers with Dylan’s Candy Bar inspired tags.”
The centerpiece is kept simple and easy by using chocolate dipped marshmallows with pretty labels. You’ve got to love a centerpiece that doubles as a sweet treat!
Courtney says, “For the Dylan’s Candy Bar inspired details I used candy dots and swirly lollipops at the main table, which doubles as the facial station.”
To carry on the candy detail, Courtney used colorful gumballs at the make up station, which looked gorgeous against the pool backdrop.
For activities at the party, the girls made gumball rings and necklaces, as well as having their nails painted, and make up application in bright candy colors. I love how Courtney included magazines for the girls to read during their pedicures — just like at a real salon.
As favors, the girls took home gumball rings and necklaces and tons of other candies from the candy bar.
